About the Farm

SINGLETREE FARM  consists of 10 gently rolling acres.  We currently have 6 grass-covered day pastures and 5 dry lot loafing pastures which are attached to the main barn and the male shelters.  The herd spends most of the day grazing in the grass in one pasture or another.  At night, they are brought up to the barn pens where they have the choice of sleeping under the stars or in the barn.  Our barn was created from an existing  20 x 50 ft. greenhouse that was used by the previous owners in a wholesale rose plant business.   We put in concrete flooring, fatigue mats, electricity, water, stalls and feeders to create a cozy home for our females.  We converted an existing two stall horse shelter (16x20) for the male alpacas.  We again put in concrete flooring, rubber mats, a water source and low voltage lighting.  We were very fortunate in having an abundance of trees surrounding the shelters which the alpacas love to lounge under, when they are not dancing on tiptoes to eat the leaves.

All of our alpacas receive one-on-one daily attention & love.  Because we are full time breeders and our operation is run entirely by the two of us, (and two paca-lovin puppies), our full attention (24-7) is given to the needs and wants of these wonderful animals.  Our goal from the beginning has been to raise happy, healthy friendly alpacas with nice fleece which could be turned into beautiful end-product textiles and yarn.

That goal is now coming to fruition.  Our Sansa is now fathering  his own beautiful babies; our females are wonderful moms and producing healthy & strong crias; our fiber & end-products are being marketed, and our herd is growing.

Singletree Farm also provides Breeding Services, Boarding, and Halter training.  To find out more about our services, click on to the subject.  We are also always available to answer your questions about getting started in the business, how to set up your farm so it is alpaca friendly, and any other questions you might have regarding our operation or your own.   We love to talk Alpacas!
